We all know that RMC caters to an ever cumulative patient load and although the figures seem overwhelming, a lot can be done to progress patient care and satisfaction. You may recollect how the railways and banking manufacturing reinvented themselves in Bangladesh using computerization in the 1990’s. History Of Rajshahi Medical College RMC:

 A handful number of passionate and philanthropic people happening a Medical School in Rajshahi city in 1954. A four year progression was started important to diploma called LMF (Licentiate of Medical Faculty) offered by the State Medical Ability, Dhaka. A total of eighty students were acknowledged in the very first year of its commencement. In 1954, the then East Pakistan Government rehabilitated it into a government Institute, Rajshahi Medical School.

Later on, the government absolute to start a five year course important to MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Hospital) degree and as such in 1958 Rajshahi Medical School appeared as Rajshahi Medical College. At the commencement, the Medical College was housed in a small structure of the Barendra Museum. It was later loosened to the present college building. Forty two native and two overseas students were admitted in the first batch.

Students Of Rajshahi Medical College RMC:
Since then, the college has been current its steady progress. The number of acknowledged students is now amplified to 199 for MBBS which is equivalent in 8 old government medical colleges of Bangladesh and 50 for the BDS. Distant students of SAARC countries are existence admitted in this Organization every year.

At present besides apprentice MBBS and BDS courses, advanced MD, MS, M.Phil, MPH and Diploma degrees are being bestowed in 18 disciplines at Rajshahi Medical College.

Already a handful number of positive doctors have achieved their graduate degrees from this college and working in several field of their concentration with good reputation.

Hospitals are all associated with Rajshahi Medical College RMC:
Rajshahi Medical College Hospital originated in 1958.
Infectious Disease Hospital started in 1962,
Hospital for Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases instituted in 1966,
Leprosy Control Middle founded in 1968 .
A Nuclear Medicine Center was also recognized within the campus in 1970.

Structure of Rajshahi Medical College RMC:

Following the war of deliverance in 1971, the Medical College and hospital have complete substantial improvements in many features such as extension of the college structures, student’s accommodation, number of hospital beds, and establishing of a modern Auditorium etc.

Recently the hospital is prepared with CT scan, MRI, angiogram and renal hemodialysis machine.

There have been a few current additions in the College too like establishing of a beautiful mosque at the college buildings, modernization and prettification of college main gate and premises, extension of the discussion room with modern audio-visual conveniences.

It has 2 hotels. The Shahid Muktijoddha Kaji Nurnnobi Hotel and Pinku refuge. Between them the Nurunnobi hotel is the eldest. The writers of this paragraph reside in 319 room of this hotel. It is also normally known as Main Hostel. It has a big ground in front of the Hostel and every afternoon we play Football typically.
